The CCS Board of Trustees holds its public work session on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 6pm at 435 Creamery Way in Exton, PA. An additional public work session and/or committee meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of each month from 6 to 7pm at 435 Creamery Way in Exton, PA. The Board's monthly public meeting is held on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7pm at 435 Creamery Way in Exton, PA. The Board meets for four Sunday public work sessions during the school year. Dates are posted in the Board Meetings call-out to the right . Changes to the above schedule are posted in our monthly CCS calendars and/or in the weekly CCS Newsletter and if required, advertised in the Daily Local News. Meeting cancellations are posted on this website. If you would like to know agenda items in advance of a meeting, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. CCS families, employees, and community members are encouraged to attend the meetings and take an active role in the school.
Meet the Collegium Charter School Board of Trustees
Mr. Viktor Ohnjec,
CCS Board of Trustees President
Viktor was elected to the Board in June 2008 and has been part of CCS's Science Fair Committee since 2002. Viktor has 30+ years of experience in management and technology. He is President & CEO of M2VP, Inc. - a West Chester-based technology strategy and executive advisory company. Mr. Ohnjec has been chairperson of various industry groups and boards including the West Chester Cycling Club, the Chester County Challenge for Cancer, the Iron Hill Twilight Criterium, the West Chester Area YMCA, the Greater Philadelphia Senior Executive Group, Pedaling4Paws, the Transformation Yoga Project, and the Object Management Group. He lives in West Chester, PA with wife Leslie and his two daughters, Collegium-graduate, Marisa and Collegium student, Julianna. He is an avid cyclist.
Dr. Chris Finnin,
CCS Board of Trustees Member
Dr. Chris Finnin is Clinical Professor and Director of General Business Studies at Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business in Philadelphia. He teaches Introduction to Business, Business Consulting and Entrepreneurship and is responsible for curriculum development & design for freshman business courses in LeBow. He has played an active role in assessment and assurance of learning within the LeBow College of Business and is responsible for maintaining the college-wide writing assessment and assurance of learning plan. In November of 2015, Chris was awarded the Dean’s Distinguished Teaching Fellowship in the LeBow College of Business. In addition, he was the 2010 recipient of Drexel University’s prestigious Barbara G. Hornum Award for Teaching Excellence, an award given to the top teaching professor at the University. Chris earned his Doctorate of Educational Leadership and Management with emphasis in Higher Education from Drexel University. As a long time supporter of the Premier League’s, Chelsea Football Club, he spends many a weekend watching soccer. When he is not working on the above fun stuff, he is usually traveling with his wife, Jenn and their son, Jake. And… Jake is an even bigger Chelsea supporter!
Mrs. Nicole Anderson,
CCS Board of Trustees Member
Nicole was elected to the Board in December 2012. Nicole is an Independent Consultant working with for-profit and non-profit companies. She has over 20 years of executive leadership and operational experience and currently provides business development and project management expertise to small businesses. She is a graduate of Temple University’s Fox School of Business with a BBA in International Business and Finance and LaSalle University with an MBA in Management. Nicole is an advocate for women’s leadership development, the education of children, and diversity and inclusion. She has held several leadership roles on various boards including The Temple University Alumni Association, The Domestics Violence Center of Chester County and Jack and Jill of America, Chester County Chapter. She also supports several fundraising committees for non-profit and political campaigns. She lives in Downingtown with her husband and their two children.
Dr. Anthony Drager,
CCS Board of Trustees Secretary
Tony was elected to the CCS board in October 2013. He has worked as a Research Scientist for Teva Pharmaceuticals (formerly Cephalon) at their West Chester R&D Center since 2004. Tony has primary responsibility for leading a research group within the Formulation Development Division charged with the development of pharmaceutical products for submission to the FDA. In addition, he is an Adjunct Professor in the Chemistry Department of Millersville University, where he teaches courses in general, organic and polymer chemistry. Tony received his B.S. in Chemistry from Millersville University and his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ. He currently resides in Caln Township with his wife, Michele, and twin daughters, Rebecca and Rachel who are both CCS students.
Mr. John L. Jackson,
CCS Board of Trustees
Mr. Jackson was elected to the Board in June 2014 and has been part of CCS’s Finance and Audit Committee since March 2014. He has over 18 years of experience in the financial services industry, including audit and risk assessment. He is currently a Sr. Staff Accountant with the federal government where he leads investigations of investment companies, advisers, and other market participants. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a BA in Economics and Business Administration from Randolph-Macon College. He is also a graduate of Temple University’s Fox School of Business with an MBA in Marketing. Mr. Jackson actively supports many local charities and civic organizations in the West Chester area. He lives in West Chester with his wife and two daughters.
Mr. Jamie Bruton
CCS Board of Trustees Vice President
Jamie was elected to the board in June of 2014. He is the Managing Partner of Bruton Financial Advisors, LLC a registered investment advisory firm in Downingtown. Jamie’s primary responsibility is to provide fiduciary oversight to various qualified and non-qualified retirement plans. Jamie is a graduate of Lafayette College with a BA in Biology and University of Pittsburgh with an MBA in Finance. Jamie is an avid supporter of Downingtown’s urban revitalization and has served on Borough Council and Planning Commission. He is a native to Chester County and resides in Downingtown with his wife, Sandy, and three children, James, Cameron, and Gianna. His daughters attend Collegium.
Mr. Christopher W. McHenry
CCS Board of Trustees Member
Chris was elected to the CCS Board in February 2015. He has over 25 years of commercial finance experience. Chris has been employed by the Chester County Economic Development Council since 2010. In his role as the Sr. Portfolio and Compliance Manager, Chris is responsible for the oversight, performance, and compliance management for multiple government and private lending programs. Chris is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Delaware Valley College. He lives in Caln Township with his wife, Melanie, and their two sons, Ian and Aidan, who are proud CCS Cougars. He is an avid outdoorsman and Collegium volunteer.
Mr. Donald Ash
CCS Board of Trustees Member
Don was appointed to the Board in August of 2016. He retired as Director of Technology at the Marple Newtown School District and recently served as Director of Technology for Collegium for the 2015-2016 school year. He has taught as an adjunct professor at both Delaware County Community College and Immaculata University in their respective Computer Science Departments. He is currently a Supervisor in East Caln Township where he resides with his wife, Cheryl
Additional March Meetings
The Board of Trustees has scheduled additional public meetings on Monday, March 20th at 12 noon and Wednesday, March 29th at 1pm. Meetings will be held at 435 Creamery Way, Exton, PA.
In addition to the Board's regular meetings noted in the first paragraph on this page, the Board will hold three public work sessions during the 2016-2017 school year on the following Sundays from 1-4pm: December 11, 2016, March 12, 2017, & May 21, 2017. The Board will also hold a public work session on Friday, August 26, 2016 from 10am-1pm at the CCIU at 455 Boot Road Downingtown.
