Important Dates For 2019-2020 New Student Enrollment
Both the dates provided below and the enrollment process are subject to change. Changes will be posted on the Collegium website. Please review the website for up-to-date information. Once submitted, all received enrollment materials become the property of Collegium Charter School.
December 1, 2018 (Saturday)
2019-2020 Enrollment Open House from 8:30 AM until Noon. We welcome all prospective families to attend this event, tour Collegium classrooms, speak with CCS faculty and staff, and learn why CCS is The Smart Choice in Public Education. Our Open House will feature several kid-friendly activities. Children are welcome to attend.
The event is a true Open House; families may arrive as they are able. Plan to spend about 30-45 minutes at the Enrollment Open House. The tours are self-guided. It is not necessary to arrive exactly at 8:30 AM or to stay for the entire event. Not all Collegium buildings will be open during the Open House. Please plan to visit our 468/486 Building (468 and 486 Thomas Jones Way). Blue and white balloons will indicate the entrances.
Please note: 2019-2020 New Student Enrollment materials are not available during the 2019-2020 Enrollment Open House. Why not? The Open House is a time to focus on learning more about Collegium, not worrying about the process or paperwork. Unable to attend the Enrollment Open House? Beginning in February, you can contact our Enrollment Department to arrange a building tour, but don’t wait until February to complete the enrollment process.
December 3, 2018 (Monday)
At 10:00 AM, Collegium will post the link for our 2019-2020 New Student Enrollment Form on the Collegium website. The enrollment process is online, only; paper forms are not available. Collegium must receive all completed enrollment materials by 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 to include them in the Enrollment Lottery. Late/incomplete materials will not be included in the Enrollment Lottery. Exceptions to the deadline (12:00 Noon on Wednesday, January 16, 2019) will not be considered.
December 21, 2018 – January 7, 2019
CCS is closed for our annual Winter Break from Friday, December 21, 2018 at 4:30pm through Monday, January 7, 2019 at 7:30 AM. Collegium encourages all prospective families to submit their completed 2019-2020 New Student Enrollment materials before December 21st, as enrollment materials will not be reviewed during our Winter Break. Phone calls and email messages received over Winter Break will be returned after Collegium reopens on Monday, January 7th. Due to the anticipated volume of telephone and email messages, we receive about enrollment, please be patient as you await a response. It will take a few days to get back to all families.
January 16, 2019 (Wednesday)
At 12:00 Noon, completed 2019-2020 New Student Enrollment materials are due to Collegium. Exceptions to this deadline (January 16, 2019 at 12:00 Noon) will not be considered. Whenever possible, Collegium will attempt to contact families to alert them if their enrollment materials submitted are inaccurate or incomplete. We are able to attempt this contact only one (1) time. As of Tuesday, January 11th, Collegium cannot guarantee that this notification will be made due to processing volumes.
Exceptions to enrollment deadlines are not considered. If a student’s enrollment materials are not complete, the student will not be enrolled, placed on a waiting list, or included in our Enrollment Lottery. Please do not wait until the last minute to begin the New Student Enrollment process!
January 25, 2019 (Friday)
The Enrollment Lottery will be conducted on Friday, January 25, 2019. New families will be notified via U.S. mail during the week of February 11, 2019 regarding their child’s 2019-2020 enrollment status (either enrolled or placed on a waiting list). Enrollment status information will not be provided via email message or telephone conversation. Again, late and/or incomplete materials will not be considered for the Enrollment Lottery. See AFTER January 16, 2019 (below) for information regarding late enrollment materials.
AFTER January 16, 2019 (12 Noon)
After the New Student Enrollment deadline (12:00 Noon on Wednesday, January 16th), Collegium will continue to accept 2019-2020 New Student Enrollment materials on a first come, first served basis for enrollment or waitlist placement (depending upon availability). Families interested in enrolling their children in Collegium should access, complete, and submit 2019-2020 New Student Enrollment materials as soon as possible. Collegium dates/time stamps all submitted materials to preserve the order in which they are received. Please allow two (2) weeks for review and processing of New Student Enrollment materials submitted after January 16th. Collegium must first focus on processing enrollment materials received before the deadline so they can be ready for the Enrollment Lottery.
